
In 2013 Guyon commenced co-hosting the hour long, current affairs programme 3rd Degree on TV3, New Zealand’s largest privately owned television network. As part of this role he did studio interviews for this programme and investigative reports, mainly on economic and political issues. Guyon also co-hosted "The Vote" which was a series of debates on issues of national significance which screens monthly also on TV3.
Since 2012, Guyon has been a senior writer for The Listener. The Listener is New Zealand’s best-selling weekly news magazine. He was a finalist in the political feature writing section of the Canon Media Awards for 2013.
As an investigative journalist, Guyon has researched, written and presented mini-documentaries for 60 Minutes on political, economic, cultural and environmental issues.
From 2006 - 2011 Guyon was the Political Editor at Television NZ where he managed a staff of four while holding one of the most influential positions in New Zealand journalism. He covered two elections campaigns in New Zealand and two in Australia and provided reporting, analysis and live commentary on everything from annual budgets to breaking news and select committee inquiries.
