David joined Toastmasters over 20 years ago to overcome his lack of confidence and fear of speaking to a group of people. He made history in August 1996 when he competed in and won the World Championship of Public Speaking in the USA. He became the first New Zealander in the 70+ year history of Toastmasters International to win the coveted award. He has also won numerous other awards, including the 1996 New Zealand’s Most Entertaining Speaker and in 2017 was made a CSP - a Certified Speaking Professional - an accolade only shared by only 1000 of the other best speakers in the world.
After spending many years in corporate management roles, David Nottage set up his own public speaking consultancy in January 1995 specialising in training and motivation of corporates and their teams.
David is a well known dynamic, humorous and motivational speaker as well as a corporate trainer - and is able to speak on almost all business topics. He works one-on-one with many CEO's and management teams. David tailors all his presentations to meet the specific needs of any organisation’s event in every aspect and detail.
