His latest book is entitled ‘Be Your Own Bodyguard’. ” His previous book ‘Perform with Confidence’ introduced thousands of readers to the value of using brains over brawn when dealing with conflict. This book attracted the attention of the business and management community and has since seen Rob present to companies such as Bayer, Lumley Life, Norwich Union, Panasonic and Telstra. In 1995 he burst onto the New Zealand rowing scene as the youngest person ever to win the single sculls title at the New Zealand Championships – he did this as a novice sculler. In the two years that followed, Rob won gold at the World Championships in Germany and Canada breaking records on the water. His rowing career was topped off with an Olympic Gold at Sydney 2000.

Robin achieved fame for his small business rural community when in 1997 he became the Toastmasters International New Zealand Speech Champion and competed in the World Championship in New Orleans that same year. From a Dairy Farming background, it was the Young Farmers Club he joined that sparked his interest in public speaking.
