New Zealand’s Young Executive of the Year, Southlander of the Year, New Zealand Direct Marketer of the Year finalist – 1997 was a champagne year for Sue Lindsay of Invercargill. 1998 provided further sparkle as she represented New Zealand in the World Young Business Achievers award in Beijing China – and won! As the General Manager of Sales and Marketing for Landbase Trading Society (formerly CRT Southland) she was directly credited with master minding strategies that have more than doubled that turnover of this Top 200 New Zealand company, and all in just 5 years. Her philosophy was based on a commitment to “daring to be different” in what was a highly competitive and traditional market. In doing so she transformed this traditional rural service company into a leading edge customer orientated organisation, focused not just on the farmer but on the farming family.
Sue’s successful sales and marketing career brings together experience in tourism, real estate, farming, pharmaceutical industry and agribusiness. Now in her own marketing and communications company, a promotional marketing business, and working as a consultant, professional speaker and mentor, Sue shares her wealth of management and business experience, as a speaker who actually faces the challenges of management and operation of diverse businesses on a daily basis.
