Steve specialises in teaching, coaching and mentoring visionary leaders. Drawing on his own commercial and personal experience in both western and eastern traditions Steve coaches senior executives and leaders in the power of Integrated Intelligence for high performance. Integrated Intelligence is a powerful commercial paradigm. It brings individuals and organisations to extraordinary levels of personal empowerment, professional success, increased creativity and focussed productivity.

From a family of six, with an alcoholic father, Steve not only survived his childhood but flourished as a boy who learnt life lessons that have remained a constant source of inspiration throughout his colourful life. After becoming a car mechanic, Steve took up competitive motorcycle riding and upon retiring from competitive riding in 1989 he trained as a ski instructor, eventually working with disabled skiers in the USA. After breaking his shoulder he secured a position as a trainee photographer with the Daily News in New Plymouth. In 1992 Steve established his own photographic and design studio.
After an encounter with a Buddhist monk, which led to an initial two and a half year sabbatical, Steve learned and then began teaching meditation and moved to Melbourne. After three years in Melbourne as a project manager in organisational development, Steve was accepted to become a monk of the Theravada tradition. Steve returned to New Zealand where he worked as a regional advisor for a new economic development agency (Industry New Zealand) during its first year of inception.
He moved from Wellington to Auckland to assist with America’s Cup opportunities throughout New Zealand. Upon finishing work with Industry New Zealand an opportunity to study with a visiting retired abbot of a Tibetan Monastery for 5 months turned into a further 18-month period of work, study, contemplation, meditation and instruction. He left the monastery in late 2003 and became a practitioner in Aura-Soma, a colour psychology system based on bringing balance to the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional aspects of the self.
In January 2004 Steve began work as a personal and professional advisor, coach and mentor. Steve will challenge thinking, stimulate debate, and inspire others to meet their potential. He is a facilitator, wellness practitioner, teacher, artist, philosopher and businessman whose lateral thinking adds a new and vibrant dimension to any organisation. Steve calls this work 'disarmament' as he completely unbundles all previous thinking, perceptions and attitudes, presents an outstandingly controversial point of view, then cheerfully and very powerfully supports his clients into stepping up to another level of self realisation and awareness where they confidently outstrip their own goals and benchmarks to perform at the highest levels.
Those who have worked with Steve live more skilfully, manage their relationships better, negotiate business issues and decision making far more skilfully – and do this all without any training or goal setting or repeated affirmations! Steve’s facilitation work is very honest and he is also very entertaining. He thinks completely outside the box.
